Every summer, Epernay celebrates the 14th of July with panache: fireworks, musical entertainment, a popular ball… And this year, a brand new event has been added to the festive program in the Champagne capital!
The prestigious Maison Michel Gonet, located on the Avenue de Champagne, invites you to enjoy a unique evening at the heart of its estate, in a friendly, sparkling atmosphere, or in its ephemeral gastronomic restaurant. A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Fête Nationale in a different way, combining art de vivre, music and champagne in an exceptional setting.
Restaurant Éphémère: a week of German gastronomy with Chef Leonhard Bader
From June 10 to 14, gourmet food lovers are invited to Épernay for an exceptional ephemeral experience!
Chef Leonhard Bader, head of the Die Ratsstuben restaurant in Ettlingen (a town twinned with Épernay), takes up residence for a few days at 37 avenue de Champagne to showcase the very best of his cuisine in a unique and refined setting.
This temporary restaurant embodies Franco-German friendship through culinary art: an invitation to travel, without leaving the capital of Champagne.

A moment suspended in the elegance of a Champagne House
On the evening of July 14th, Maison Michel Gonet opens the doors of its shady garden for a moment of open-air relaxation, facing the majestic Avenue de Champagne. From 7pm onwards, settle down on the terrace, enjoy a glass of champagne and let yourself be carried away by a gentle musical ambience, accompanied by plates to eat in or take away! (foie gras terrine, salmon ceviche, 48-hour-cooked pork belly, 70-cut prime rib, oysters, etc.)
The idea? Enjoy a chic yet relaxed space, just a stone’s throw from the city center, to meet friends, family or lovers over a drink, all in a chic, epicurean guinguette spirit.
- The +: On Monday, July 14 only, a120kg bluefin tuna will be cut live and served as sashimi.
