Eglise De Chaintrix-Bierges
Why go there?
Chaintrix and Bierges were two separate municipalities until 1858 when Napoleon III decreed their reunification. The Church of Chaintrix, rebuilt in 1844, has the choir oriented towards the West and not towards the East as was tradition. On this subject, it is claimed that the inhabitants of the village demolished the walls that the men built during the day.
